Adam Poultney
Yesterday I made significant progress, and by the end of the evening I had a finished Vulcan. My serials which I printed applied quite well. They end up a little thicker than I hoped but they still went on well. (oops I seem to have added a later image here and can't remove it! help!) Once I had the final decals on, I added a second gloss varnish as this earlier scheme should have a gloss finish. First time using Vallejo gloss varnish, it's pretty good. Also trying their brand of thinner for the first time, worked very well. Anyway, I them added a Flory dark dirt wash, another first add I've previously used the black and white ones to make various greys. Once this was dried well enough, I then cleaned it off, added a few decals which I forgot about, decided to add the zaps on the gear door, used some weathering powders, added the refueling probe, then it was done. Lots of stencil decals underneath! I decided only to add the most prominent ones.

dnl42
Very nicely done! Particularly the zapped roundels! I just caught up with this from the RFI. As I have this kit in the stash, I very much appreciate your build!
