Oi, keep it nice, or we will all be thrown out for too much malarkey, it's not THE Tiger superthread you're on now!

Just wait, sure a bit of "banter and malarkey" can only be a good thing!

Still haven't decided between a Stug or a Pzr III yet...🤔

Tempted to get the DW Stug, as if I need more Stugs but.... Stugs appear to be very popular in this GB so for a little originality do I go Pzr III..but who's...

Tamiya, Takom or the new RFM....or even Dragon if i wanted to spend silly money??

Decisions,  decisions..

Hi Stix. I was ready to go, but the kit that I have, is the Dragon lll M/N, and it's a bit of a dog in places. Turns out that it can trace it's origins back to Gunze Sangyo in 1987....and it shows. So I am in the process of ordering a Tamiya 1/48th Stug lllG, and hopefully, it will be with me long before the kickoff.

Stay safe and well.

John.

Come on John, you can do better than the kiddies scale of 1/48! 😉

Comparing them all, I'd say RFM.

More the merrier..... I was only joking when I said to behave, like you lot could! :wicked:

Oh? They always behave Bob - sometimes they behave well

In the years 2020 and 2021 the last thing we need is to behave seriously....

We all need a little light relief and thats what Andy excels at! 😉👍

Well, actually he's usually the brunt of the joke.

He usually gets the sharp end of the stick.......

Oh well :D

Cheers bud, was just looking at the RFM ausf J, very reasonably priced too...

Had been thinking a winter stug but now...

You've the upgrade set for it too haven't you, does that add much to it?

Well I actually brought two of the upgrade sets. I would say that the kit does not "really" need it, but as I had a number of III types, I figured I could use some of the upgrades on kits that were not so detailed, such as Tamiya, and possibly a few areas on the Takom, or DW kits.

I also picked up a set of the MJ Miniatures Pz III/Stug III tool clamps, to try out.

Haven't seen the upgrade sets over here yet, haven't really looked properly though.

Just ordered some of the Mig Pzr III tool clamps might be useful on a few builds and never had the dexterity for these ridiculous photo etch ones...

Ooooh! You are on very thin ice. The smaller the scale, the greater the skill needed. That's why I don't touch 1/72nd. I refer the honourable gentleman to this site.

Also, check out anything by the Canadian modeller, Pat Johnson.

Walks off, stage left, muttering to himself and shaking his head.

  • PlaStix changed the title to Pz.III STGB - LESS THAN 4 WEEKS!! Starts Saturday 6th February

Raring to go. Impatience got the better of me with the 15mm models I was intending and I did 'em over Xmas! Never could wait. I have an Ausf-D from 'first to fight' / wrzesien1939 which I'll be doing instead if that's okay. Looks fantastic on the sprues!
