neil5208
1st finish of 2021 is Revell's Dornier Do335 Pfeil or Arrow. This a rebox of the Dragon kit and shares the same issues most multiple variant design often do as the centre fuselage/cockpit part fit is not good, nether are the wing leading edge parts a lot of sanding need to look good. The kit comes with 2 engines but I did not fit these and blanked off the exhaust ports to make painting simpler. This should have been the 12th finish for 2020 but the paint would not bond as normal, I can only think that there was residual mould release still on the sprues even after cleaning. Built OOB and painted with Tamiya and Mr Colour acrylics, the kit decal were not the usual Revell standard and needed much Microsol blue to adhere well. No weathering on this one as only a dozen or so were delivered to the Luftwaffe for testing before the end of hostilities. As usual all comments are welcome. Undercarriage is substantial and a size comparison against other single seat fighters Edited January 7, 2021 by neil5208

Booty003
Very nice to see, I do like the more unusual German subjects from that era. I am just putting the finishing touches to the Hobby Boss version (much simplified kit) although it will be a Luft '46 version. 😉

And I came close to getting the hobbyboss but got lucky on ebay and won this one.
IanC
That looks good, especially parked next to the others. The Bf 109 is a real tiddler by comparison! I'd like to do one of these, but after tackling various Dragon kits in the past I think I'll wait for an easier build. Maybe Tamiya will scale theirs down one day.
