WWS static grass applicator

Hi all, I have some problems with WWS static grass applicator.

I followed the instructions using in 2mm grass, 4,mm grass, 6mm grass and 10 mm grass (I want very high grass!).

I attached the applicator to the nail planted in diorama wooden base (the battery is ok) but the grass does not stand perpendicular to ground.

Besides the grass takes shape of little balls into the applicator basket and do not pass throughout the wire mesh.

Where I'm wrong?

Many thanks

Ciao

A few things

1. what glue are you using? I use PVA and apply the grass whilst its still wet as when wet it conducts the static electricity better. But even then I need to work close to the nail

2. Your nail, a pure brass or pure copper one is best

3. you may need to work very close to your surface, only millimeters above it, pulling the applicator up as the grass drops from it and work small areas at a time

4. When the grass clumps in mine I use a wood coffee stirrer to stir the grass around in the sieve bowl as I apply it

Thats how I did the grasses on this

Hi Black Knight, thanks for you answer.

I use WWS glue (with brush or spray). Maybe the problem is the nail!

I'll try again! Many thanks
