Airfix HM Bark Endeavour model kit in a glass case

my build of the truly ancient Airfix kit of HM Bark Endeavour, reputed to be renamed Lord Sandwich, and as sailors always said, renaming a ship is bad luck, maybe there was something in that, she now lies on the seabed off the USA, used as a block ship during the revolutionary war.

She sailed the seven seas so to speak and made discoveries, so the base makes tribute to two men, Cook and Banks.

the model ship and it's rigging are stylized as no contemporary detailed drawings survive of her, just artworks with artistic license.

some model makers of ships don't like figures, they lend scale says I.

finally on my drinks cabinet with it's glass case to keep out cat's tails, and small tiny hands and the deadly

broadside of the feather duster.

Excellent piece of modelling, congratulations on turning out such a beautiful model from such an old kit ,well done 👏

Thanks for that Homer, the old Airfix sailing ships are quite a challenge, I guess the achievement is in turning a sows ear into a reasonably usable purse. But finding these subject to make from kits is getting harder and harder. So few tall ship kits released these days.
