Courageous Posted January 5, 2021 Share Posted January 5, 2021 I'm a long way from being any kind of ship expert but as far as I'm aware, pirate ships tended to be armed merchant ships and not ships designed for war. Your Black Pearl has 32 guns on two decks giving her a dumpy appearance and points more towards an armed merchant ship. A quick read of Wiki suggests that the ship is a East Indiaman Ship and these were of different sizes and armed differently. If you look at this East Indiaman I don't think can much wrong if you're wanting to do something different. Just my pennies worth.
