That is outstanding work. I'm not usually a fan of worn or weathered models, but in this dio it just looks right.

Love this, wonderful build, finish and diorama to finish it off.

I have been coverting this release for a while now, I think you may have made me buy one tonight!

This is superb!!! I'm a great fan of weathered aircraft and the chipped paint / smoke and grime.  How did you accomplish the exposed metal effect and engine filler grime?

Thanks for all the positive feedback folks! It really helps keep the mojo alive in these troubled times.

 

The worn metal is rub ‘n buff (wax silver paste) with hairspray over for easier chipping and Tamiya acrylics over that. 


oil stains (and weathering generally) is highly diluted oil paint.
 

I did a WIP - I’ll post a link....
