I've got some race cars of various types so count me in please.

Excellent Tim. This GB gives us an opportunity to get the less common subjects coverage otherwise unseen and race cars are always good for a burst of colour to brighten the display cabinet B)

Anyone else coming to join in the colourful fun here? We've a wide variety of options to build something a bit different across the various categories :)

Excellent! Hopefully this GB will provide an opportunity for motorsports modellers to join in the fun :)

Count me in then.

Lots to choose from in 1:24, 1:20, and 1:12.

Front runner might even be a mostly scratchbuilt (with some borrowed parts from kits like uprights and wheels and tyres) 1:12 F5000 if I can find the time.

Now that sounds a seriously cool project Rob! B) A lot of work but the end result will be well worth the effort if you do decide to go for it.

Yes the Subject in mind was a seriously - unique if unsuccessful - cool car that met an unfortunate end

Brilliant Article even if I say so myself (I wrote it!).

Am I correct in thinking you had some involvement in the real machine Rob?

No not directly.

Just a Fan following it on TV when it raced out here (as I was only a Teenager at the time) but did have direct contact over the last few years with the person who built it and helped initially test it with John Watson.

It made a great change from all the Lolas running around at the time!

I could clear up my entire stash nearly with this group build, what are the chances.....🤪. Not sure what I will build yet but my recent Christmas prezzie fits the the bill nicely, Airfix 1/48 Civil Spit in Canadian or Spencer Flack colours as G-FIRE.

Looking forward to this, so many options and there will be some crackers no doubt.

Count me in.

Hey @Col., I'm assuming the Eiko scheme applies here?  :wicked:

Special schemes such as the Eiko do indeed apply Chris :D

Hi Col, My stash has a number of kits waiting for an excuse to be bumped up any build order I might invent. The English Electric P1A, AW52, Supermarine S5 or S6 and a Spitfire Floatplane spring to mind.
