Seeing as I have quite a few that fit into this category you had best add my name to the ever growing list Col.

Aircraft dropping bombs or shooting missiles, what's not to like about that.

So please sign me up. Might give that Su-24 or -34 a go in this one.....

Just noticed this thread.   Here's a few stash ideas from me, - that aren't vouched for other GBs:

Fujimi-Intruder.jpg

Airfix-Harrier-GR9.jpg

Hasegawa-A7-A-Corsair.jpg

And plenty more where those came from.

That's a rather tasty selection of subjects Tim

Please add me to the list for this one Col. I am sure that I will have something tucked away in my kit pile.

With pleasure John :)

Well I do want to build a Sopwith Salamander ( arguably the first purpose built ground attack plane, certainly the first single seat one) and I also have a DH4 and a DH9 in the stash the mainstay of RAF bombing through WWI and into the twenties and even early thirties, so count me in.

Please add me to the list Col. You know the kit but here’s a piccy...

Fingers crossed it goes through the bunfight as I really want to build it 🤞

I guess in Ground Attack guise it would use rockets?

Don’t these look a bit ‘sticky-outy’ or are they meant to look that way?

All good options there

You dirty tease! :D

As for those rocket pod noses; oh hell no! that's display configuration and the rocket tips would be hidden behind frangible flush-fitting covers in normal service. Sand off and fill for the correct look :)

..so no, which is a shame for what I assume is otherwise a nice kit.

Could be a nice excuse to buy some nice Aftermarket 1\48 Ground Attack Ordnance, 😁

Is there anything special that a GR.3 could carry does anyone know?

Paul, there’s multiple threads in the Cold War forum about Harrier load out. Cluster bombs, rocket pods, Falklands etc. Enjoy.

I guess I'll find an adequate kit. When would it start?

This one is fighting for a place in the 2022 GB calendar.

Hi Col,

I'm in as I can finally build my Valiant and Vulcan plus maybe one or two others. Pity it's only mud movers as I have a Fw 200 and Ju 290 as well but they were mostly maritime recce I guess, thought they could drop bombs or missiles on ships too.

Hello Pete,

Delighted to have you noting interest in this one and you raise a good point; the Fw 200 could be equiped for a martime strike role and therefore really should be eligible. To reflect this I've edited the GB description from "ground" to "surface" targets :)
