I think I prefer the overlap into the next year as proposed for 22 / 23. 
 

The F-18 is not for me so depending on what gets voted for and what order I could be left with a large gap between ending Nordic 2 and starting in something else. 
 

No chance that one of next years GB could start this Dec?

Joke aside, @Enzo Matrix this schedule looks pretty ok to me, GBs, STGBs and CGBs are nicely spreaded, so you have my vote for this type of schedule.

I read through the 21 regular GB candidate list, and picked my 5 already, which was easy. None of them was my own proposal - I'm aiming for an easy year 2022 .

I have to say I too am inclined to prefer starting the new calendar year with blank sheets and would prefer if all GBs ended before New Year. To counter the empty calender, couldn’t it be possible to have more GBs running in parallel the last months? That is, as Enzo’s suggestion except that GBs 6&7 and STGB9 are pushed back x weeks so they all end around New Year?

@Enzo Matrix the plot for next year's GBs looks fine to me, I also like the idea of CGBs being slightly longer than a standard GB.

Well, there are some corkers to choose from in the poll above; STGB votes are fine - I've only got four that I'd be interested in in the here and now (I've sworn off twin engined aircraft and armour, so that makes the choosing a wee bit easier!) but there are eight GB's that I could get excited about....  Decisions, decisions!  Am looking forward to the bunfight, that's for sure.

There is this and another Historical group build that hasn't been brought up yet. Stalingrad was in 1942, it started 80 years ago on August 23rd.

well thats what wikipedia says anyway that boac and bea merged to create BA then.

It surprises me that neither of those has the required 30, if I'm honest.

Gidday, the nature of my modeling means I don't really have anything for Midway but I'm down for Malta (twice as it happens, not sure how that occurred). Yes, I'm surprised that neither made the bunfight. Regards, Jeff.

2023: 80 years of 1943 Kursk and Husky

2024: 80 years of 1944 and D-Day and Leyte and 85 years of 1939 and start of WW2 proper

2025: 80 years of 1945 and VE- day and VJ-day and 85 years of the Battle of Britain

2026: 85 years of 1941 Bismarck and Barbarossa and Pearl Harbour

2027: 85 years of 1942 and...

Indeed it does.  I will move it to the bunfight area.

 

The host of this STGB, hgbn, has not posted on this site in quite some time.   This STGB will probably need someone to volunteer as a host.
