Not the typical German colours, well, the Finnish AF is always willing and ready to serve. Both the Do 17 and Ju 88 can be finnished in our black/green over light blue Warpaint scheme, also in post-war appearance without any yellow theater markings and with the current-ish blue and white roundel. The French had some unique looking Ju 88:s too.

Has anyone built the RS Model Do-17F?

I haven't built mine yet but it'll be built for the Do17 STGB. It looks like a pretty typical short run kit, no locating pins, might need a little work in places, but overall doesn't look too bad. But this is just looking at what's in the box. I have no idea if you're better off getting an old Airfix one, which actually build up pretty nicely to be fair

Instructions and an in-box review can be read here

I read the review (in German) and it gives a basic rundown.  I'll take my chances.  Plus, it has the decals I want.  The Airfix kits from the UK are far too expensive and getting them here is extremely problematic.  I'm still waiting on an Hannants order from October 6...

There's at least one Airfix E/F kit for 20€ via ebay.de in Germany that'll save you all the cross-channel hassle... and it offers you an inbox look at the plastic and instructions too

In perusing the GB schedule for the upcoming year I have resigned myself to the fact that I might enter every single one.  I wan to try to not buy any more kits, but I will have to if I join in on the F-14/F-15/F-5 GB.  Any of the others I can cull the stash for what I need.  Am I crazy?  😄

Probably, but I’m thinking the same way especially as the local toy shop has a very nice m10 tank destroyer that would sit nicely in M3/M4 GB.  I need to buy a meteor and decide wether I’ll turn my Brewster Buffalo Japanese, although I might go for a Japanese Me109 which I’ll need to buy.

Although I’m still a bit indifferent  about the Canadian GB ( although I could build one of the four camels in the stash) and the lightening Gb for some reason it’s a plane that just doesn’t grab me.

I might also sit out the Falkland’s war, Do17 and Ju88 GBs as well.

What?  Oh right...P-38...Thinking Electric Lightning...egads...

Just purchased the F-14, the F-15 and the F-5A...They will be USA (Revel), Israel (Italeri) and Greece (PM Model), respectively.

Still thinking about the Sherman.

So many modern and jet subjects in 2022...  some of you really should sign on for the SE5a STGB and help us remember military aviation did not start in 1939.

So very true.

Rather than a STGB how about something like a Anything Pre 1919 GB?

cheers, Graham
