If the choice is between a BMW Z3 based 250SWB replica or a real one . . .

I've got £1.69 saved in my demi-john towards the £11.5 millions needed

Nearly there then .

I've no idea what car or even vehicle this is based on! 😀

Is that an Austin grille?  I guess it's a 1:1 scale example of kit bashing and cross-kitting ;)

Across the road from where I was working today was an MOT station. And sitting outside there was a 4-door Alfa Romeo Giulia from the late 1960s, sort of like a civilian version of the police cars from the Italian job and looking in very good condition too. I'm sure more classics will soon appear as the weather improves and people take advantage to use them after not getting much use last year. 🤞

Spotted a gorgeous mustard yellow early-style Porsche 911 while driving between Warwick and Leamington this afternoon.  I have a feeling I've seen the car around and it's actually a 912.  It looked lovely with lots of shiny chrome and skinny Fuchs alloys.  I guess the owner was taking advantage of the fine weather to give it a bit of a run.

Must admit I didn't even realise they made an estate - every single Viva of that generation I've seen was a saloon.

As for today, outside where I was working there were two identical 50's cars (pretty certain they were Austin A30s but no badging so not quite 100% on that). And when I say identical, I mean identical - right down to the wonky front bumper and same number plates:huh: There was also a PA Cresta and a police Morris Minor.

For those who haven't guessed yet, something (not sure whether TV or film) was being filmed there. I should have grabbed pics but was in (work-related) discussions at the time... :(

Behold the mighty Magnum. Available with a 2.3 litre engine! The saloon version was a good racer at the time. Known as the Droopsnoots.

I have a Motor magazine from the time. Turns out build quality/reliability never was that good for the road cars, even the one that Motor had on test.

Think the Droopdnoot was the Firenza Pete.... ?

The Magnum was a pretty useful rally car too, I always wanted one but they were always a fair bit more expensive than Escorts.

And here's the ultimate Droop Snoot Firenza, the late, great Gerry Marshal's 'Baby Bertha'....

Magic!

was sitting in a pub one night, when in walked Gerry & Roger Clarke!

Was the Avon Tour of Britain on? They were both in works Mk1 RS2000's one year and were having terrific battles on the race track 'stages'! On a couple of  the gravel stages was the only time I saw Gerry drive in anger live, and he was just as spectacular as on the race track!

Pretty much the very first action I saw, at the very first live motor race I attended, was Gerry Marshall at the wheel of a race-prepared Aston Martin V8.  I'd never heard of him before but I've never forgotten him since.

As for spotting, Today it was a nice, silver Mercedes-Benz R107 Panzerwagon SL.

On the way back from Sainsburys on  A654 near Oulton Hall Hotel this morning  met an 'L' suffix red Rover 2000. As it seemed to have lowered suspension, I think the colour was not original as I am never recall one in that colour (mostly seemed to be sickly yellow or 💩 brown with the odd white one as I recall)

Last night I spotted a Toyota MR2 Mk1, first time I've seen one of those in years.  Sadly it was after dark so no photo.

Today while driving home, there was a 1967 or '68 Ford Mustang notchback and a Daimler Sovereign (the Jaguar 420 one, not the XJ6 variant).
