Double whammy this morning while walking downtown.

"G" prefix Golf GTI convertible in red, very nice looking and sounding, also being piloted by a quite attractive young lady with blue hair!!! And, going the other way, a "M" suffix reg Stag, in the metallic burgundy and it sounded very V8!!

This car is located in Hamburg. Prototype museum.

Even with the gorgeous cars in there I'd still take the VW bus. I presume they have really good security.😉😀

Anyway, in my usual stretch of spotting road it wasn't a Mk1 this time but a Mk2 Escort. Bright red with no body kit or any alterations. Very good nick.

Early car of von Trips. There is really good section for von Trips. Alone this part is worth of visiting.

Out today I saw an MGTD ( not the same  one I saw the other day) and my second DS of the week.  Also a Reliant SS1, not sure when I last saw one of those!

Today while taking my car for it's four weekly run ...

A Silver Mk1 Golf Cabriolet, with GTi grille. Two smaller lights inside of the normal headlights. Looked in good nick.

Then ten minutes later an immaculate E-type FHC in red. Not sure of the age or series number.

Cheers,

Alan.

These pictures are a bit late - I'd almost forgotten that I went to Brands Hatch two weeks ago! It was the Porsche club GB meeting, quite a big event with obviously a hell of a lot of Porsche cars on show. I only took these few pics of the racecars as to be honest I'm not really a fan of Porsche roadcars and there were a lot of them...A small selection below.

Porsche tractor, apparently there are three different tractor varieties. The black 956 Swap shop car is as raced at Le Mans in 1984. Chris.

I'm not sure what I saw yesterday. It was on the other side of the carriageway with it's hood up and I drove past it reasonably fast, but it looked like a mix of a 1930s roadster/sportscar with a 70s Lincoln Continental. It was very long that's all I can say.🤨

@Sabrejet my first guess was Triumph TR4 Italia, but it's not quite right for that, I think.  My second guess is a Lancia, but I'm not sure if that's right either.

I was thinking Lancia Flaminia; but if so a coach built model rather than the standard model.

usually putting in the reg plate solves the query but I can’t get a sensible answer this time.
