This was taken at a distance because there were people milling around outside. Having said that I don't see many Aston Martins, despite the presence of an AM specialist near work, what should be the first thing that I photograph? This afternoon in Woodhall Spa, an A reg Land Rover. Several original Minis, a couple of Morgans, a TR3, Mk II Jag E-type FHC, Rover P5B Coupe, an Orange DAF 66 saloon, a couple of Alvis, a lovely Porsche 356 hardtop. Then in short succession a '76/'77 R-reg Daimler Sovereign, two Caterham 7s, a Jag Mk V (I think) and at least 10 MGFs - lost count, but I presume there must have been something on at Gaydon. Some cracking vehicles Our local VW contingent Elctric Beetle cabrio Citroën Dianne Lovely Model T Star of the day for me was this Plymouth Fury III low rider, awesome car with wonderful pinstripes and laced roof Stunning car. That electric Beetle is interesting. I imagine the 0 - 60 is a bit better than it was. I'll second the vote for that Porsche 944. It's still a lovely shape. Pete yes the Fury was awesome, yes the lace is laid over the roof and sprayed through this. They are designed to be launched from a beach on a trailer, and frequently this is how the beach. They are a "Jet" boat and have no external propeller, which means that they can work in extremely shallow water. If I recall, they are powered y two Scania turbo-diesels of some 11 - 14 litre capacity. The only reason I know this is: a) I worked for the company that supplied the on-board monitoring and control software (Electronic dash-boards etc.) b) Dungeness is where one of the craft have been deployed. I think I've mentioned this one before, but finally managed to get a photo. It's a Bentley and I'd guess it's a Mk.VI or R-Type.
