johnlambert
Not the best pic but trying to back up my sightings with photos where possible. This was taken at a distance because there were people milling around outside. Having said that I don't see many Aston Martins, despite the presence of an AM specialist near work, what should be the first thing that I photograph? Anyway, this DB6 was outside a garage that does general car servicing but seems to attract plenty of classics.

Well spotted, it is indeed a 69, I was told it was a runner but needed a bit of TLC, sorry I could have taken a couple of photos of it. Maybe next year when I go back it will it will be back to its full glory🤞👍

Pete in Lincs
In Boston this morning, an F reg (1967) BRG TR4A and a little later a green Porsche 912 which is probably just as old but one of my dream cars! This afternoon in Woodhall Spa, an A reg Land Rover. Not too many A reg's were issued I believe as the suffix was brought in late in the model year.
klubman01
In Sleaford, an hour ago, a black MGB GT, W reg, with rubber bumpers and wire wheels. Mind you, I thought rubber bumper cars always had Rostyle wheels. Looked very nice. Trevor

stevehnz
I pulled into a local Repco branch today to pick up an oil filter & alongside the main entrance was a 1976 Datsun 180B, exceptionally tidy, alloy wheels with matching Orange centres, very 70s, I think it may belong to one of the young guys who works in there. Years since I've seen one. Steve.
bentwaters81tfw
Vintage vehicle club meet at Bentwaters today. Various vehicles but I was too far away to ID many of them. Several original Minis, a couple of Morgans, a TR3, Mk II Jag E-type FHC, Rover P5B Coupe, an Orange DAF 66 saloon, a couple of Alvis, a lovely Porsche 356 hardtop. Also a nice Rover P4 heading home.

Six97s
The Fosse Way usually turns up a few interesting vehicles, but nothing today until we reached Offchurch outside Leamington. Then in short succession a '76/'77 R-reg Daimler Sovereign, two Caterham 7s, a Jag Mk V (I think) and at least 10 MGFs - lost count, but I presume there must have been something on at Gaydon. Must get a dashcam...

Pete in Lincs
Love that Plymouth Fury. The roof artwork is awesome. IIRC they actually lay the lace on the car and then spray it. That electric Beetle is interesting. I imagine the 0 - 60 is a bit better than it was. I'll second the vote for that Porsche 944. It's still a lovely shape.

I did that on my Beetle and is a cracking and very cheap way of getting a great effect.
cmatthewbacon
1930 Ford Model A Phaeton driving through Saltaire this afternoon. Identified with the help of the DVLA web site, because it’s a pretty generic design (as you might expect for a ubiquitous Ford). It must have been very dated looking in period… best, M.

They are designed to be launched from a beach on a trailer, and frequently this is how the beach. They are a "Jet" boat and have no external propeller, which means that they can work in extremely shallow water. If I recall, they are powered y two Scania turbo-diesels of some 11 - 14 litre capacity. The only reason I know this is: a) I worked for the company that supplied the on-board monitoring and control software (Electronic dash-boards etc.) b) Dungeness is where one of the craft have been deployed. One of the first, I believe. Cheers, Alan. 4

johnlambert
A couple more from the last couple of days. Another Porsche 944. I think I've mentioned this one before, but finally managed to get a photo. It's a Bentley and I'd guess it's a Mk.VI or R-Type. I don't think that's the standard steel saloon body, so it will be coachbuilt but I don't know by whom.
