Spot of the day, Part 4

Sadly no pictures but some interesting cars seen today.

I count the Fiat Uno as interesting because you don't see then any more, that was followed by a Computervision-livery MG Metro 6R4.

Later there was a 1980s Aston Martin V8 Volante in shiny black with cream upholstery.  I wouldn't have a Volante (I prefer the V8 or Vantage saloons, and yes Aston Martin described them as saloons) myself but it did look good.

Land Rover or Range Rover? what a contrast- or choice?!   Chris.

And with that, you have neatly illustrated everything that is now so wrong with the Land Rover brand...

Saw a nice bright red Triumph Stag this lunchtime .

Forgot to mention it at the time , but last weekend I saw a Benelli 750 Sei . For those who aren't familiar , it's a 1970s 6 cylinder 750  motorcycle .

The Range Rover is awful.

Yea it was the case of sick all over my clothing.

It's the International Mini and Metro Show at the British Motor Museum today.  I'm not going but I did see a convoy of Minis driving past the end of my road.

I have to agree with the others, the  chrome Range Rover is criminal , they must want really to stand out on the school run

Chris

I mean, Land Rover does offer Range Rover SVAutobiography with special Spectral colour range, but at least those are gorgeous and intricate. Chrome wrap should be treated as a crime against humanity.

Also, doubt that Evoque Convertible can be used on a school run

At least it isn't gold chrome.... (small mercies?!)

The last time I was in London I saw a gold chrome wrapped Lamborghini and a pink-chrome wrapped something (I was too far away to tell what, thank goodness).

I've been to Bicester scramble today and passed a convoy of BMW minis , enroute but wondered why they weren't there . Now I know where they were going  !

Two there i'd kill for would be the Renault 4 and the DS,they look gorgeous, another i'd love to have again is a Renault 12...Lovely photo's....

Amongst all the supercar stuff , the long gone everyday stuff really appeals to me . The Mini Clubman was original paint apparently  !! The Countach left later on and those 6 carburettors were coughing  a bit !!

I'm guessing Bobbiie (sic) is a hairdresser or an "aesthetic" practitioner. 🤔  No offence intended to any hairdressers present...

And it's lovely! Probably worth around £25K now too!

I'll have the orange and lime green 3.0 CSL's please!

Two photos on here today which come into the same category as some cars I saw at a (small) local car show today.

First up, that vomit (sorry, Harvest Gold) coloured Mini Clubman (not GT though):

And joining the post above in the oddball category (I suppose you could call it a 1:1 kitbash), this 3-wheeler. 3 wheels and based on a 2CV suggests to me that cornering could be comical..

On the way back I passed a very nice '66 911 coming the other way, but pics below are from the show:

This one needs no introduction:

Nor should this:

This 1949 Cadillac was gorgeous, fully deserved its price. Not sure which of this and the Elan I'd have wanted to take home with me if I could :)

Can't complain at a Jensen Interceptor either.

Back from the dawn of motoring, this Model T is well past its century

While this boat-tail Alvis is only 3 years away from reaching that mark:

But I'll leave with a couple dating from much less time before I was born.
