There were so many good sightings today, I just wish I could have got photos of some of them:

Porsche 928

Austin Healey 3000 in red

Two TVR Cerberas

And an Aerial Atom

This weekend has brought a Merc 230 Pagoda ragtop

A gold Rolls Royce T series

A blue Rolls Royce T series

A silver Rolls Royce Cullinan 🤢

I like those Mercs.  Wouldn't know the RRs if I fell over one, I think the most recent I'd recognise is a Silver Shadow.

Saw a convoy of classic Ford's on Saturday, custom Anglia to Cosworth Sierras and most of what you'd like to  see in between!

Coming home from the garage thìs lunchtime I spotted a very tidy silver NSU Ro80 .  Only glimpsed the driver, but I think it was a guy called Jock Channon , who used to work on the engine line at Bentley and is now something of an Ro80 specialist .

Ah , I see .

It's only the Bentley variants which were called the T series  .  The Rolls Royce was the Silver Shadow or , in lwb Shadow II form , the Silver Wraith . Round the factory the Rolls Royce was known as the SY and the Bentley as the BY .

Was following into work this morning by a nice red Triumph Vitesse - good to tell that it's a nice day today. And behind that was what I thought at first was a Mk2 Jag, but I got a better look in the mirro at some traffic lights and realised it was a Mitsuoka (sp?) View T in British Racing Green (for those who don't know about these, it's basically a retro-styled Nissan Micra). [EDIT: Unfortunately that has just sent me down the Mitsuoka website wormhole now I've thought about that and came across this 'beauty']

Other than that, nothing to write home about unless a Lamborhini Urus floats your boat 🤮

Always the T series to me, The previous Wraith was the SI,II and III, and prior to that the R series.

When you consider the difference amounted to the grille and badges.

The predecessor to the Shadow was the Silver Cloud , not the Wraith .

I actually managed to get a photo of one of my "spots" today.

A Sunbeam Tiger.

There was also a mix of ordinary cars that you never see anymore and a few more fancy things that I passed as I was driving around.

Ordinary stuff:

Ford Cortina Mk.IV in yellow

Renault 25 in dark metallic blue

Rover 200 R8 (scruffy early one in red)

Fancy stuff:

Mercedes-Benz Pagoda SL in light metallic blue

Morgan in dark metallic blue

Porsche 356 B or C in red

Nice.  Sainsbury's in Leamington?  Is there a prize?🙃

Correct, but sadly there is no prize.

It's quite a good car spotting venue, I can't remember all the interesting stuff I've seen there but it included a nice Bentley S3.

Years ago, I used to work next door to the Post Office in Chiswick (W. London).  All sorts of unusual cars used to turn up to pick up their tax discs - best spot was a nicely patinated black 3-litre Bentley!

Today's spotting got off to a good start.

First was a car that I couldn't identify (which I like to think is unusual).   It was left-hand drive, probably 1920s, looked like a slightly larger Ford Model T and had a badge that I think was a dark blue rectangle with a white diagonal running top right to bottom left.  It was a four seat, phaeton-style tourer and looked like it had just aged gracefully from the day it was new (flat paint, surface rust) but evidently still capable of venturing onto the road.

Second was a 1950s Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Veloce in white, again looking well used.

I've got a long journey to make later so I expect I'll see some more interesting stuff.

Not that recent, but this was basically peak carspotting for me this year.

McLaren Senna no. 448, first Senna to land in Indonesia and the first to be fully registered. There should be more Sennas here but most owners are very reluctant to bring them home and stored them in Hongkong or Singapore instead. You can blame the 125% VAT for that.
