G.R.Morrison Posted December 31, 2020 Share Posted December 31, 2020 I've been searching, but have had no luck learning the individual letter for Maj. Richard Raymond-Barker's Sopwith Camel, D6439 of No.3 Squadron, lost 20.April 1918 I know that in some cases, squadrons used particular ranges of letters for their various flights. What I do not know is whether squadron commanders had specific letters reserved for them, or if D6439 just happened to be the one Raymond-Barker flew on that occasion.
