Christer A
This one had a very long gestation period of almost 19 months or more... Well, I am a slow modeller that is easily distracted by new shiny models to start, but once in a while a kit gets finished properly and now it was the time for this one. This is the Classic Airframes kit, which I extended some 6mm, moved the landing gear rearwards and 3D printed some stuff for the main landing gears. The WIP of all this mayhem can be found here: This Hornet is supposed to be one of the machines from no 80Sqn RAF, based at Kai Tak, in Hong Kong 1954. And now, over to the pictures: Does it look like a Hornet? Well, to my eyes it does 😃  Will I build more Classic Airframes Kits in the future? Certainly! I will very soon start a Gannet, I and recently spotted a Supermarine Attacker which surely must be a bit more accurate than what Trumpeter offers?

Daedalus72
Looks every inch a Hornet, unlike the Trumpeter effort, nice build

Scimitar F1
Very nice build  We so need a decent mainstream IM kit of the Hornet
ththtttu7
Superb work Christer, I've followed your build over the months. With all the corrections you've made to the CA kit to the length and undercarriage position, it provides the correct stance when on the ground. My NF.21 Sea Hornet had the same.
bigbadbadge
Great work indeed, you have done a fantastic job on this model with all your corrective work. It does look gorgeous. Happy New Year Chris

Lord Riot
Brilliant looking Hornet, the colours look perfect. Very nicely done. That mud on the tyres is a great touch too. Â Â
