E-75 Ausf F, Vierfüssler, mit Rheintochter R1. (Modelcollect, 1/72)

Recommended Posts

I decided to post the finished article here, instead  over at the normal AFV stuff.  It's better suited here I guess...

So, here it is, the Model collect monstrosity:

The kit is quite bad for at 2016 moulding. Lots of exaggerated draft angles, bad fit, and decals that are way out of  register.

If I reflect on it from a practical perspective it makes very little sense!

A twin 30mm gun turret underneath that has a very limited field  of fire. A Rheintochter SAM missile on top that can only be transported in the raised position(and there only one of them)

Said missile must also be adjusted and fine tuned on an apparatus on  the launch rail.

But maybe I over-think it too much?

It is a Mecha Panzer-SAM!

How cools is that?

I had a lot of fun building  and  weathering it too, and even learned a new  trick or two.

Wow! That's is quite something. It makes for an impressive looking model.

As you say though, so long as you don't think too hard about it.

I do wonder how the crew would get in and out.

Thanks for posting.
