112 Squadron
This is a nice Hurricane. Currently, the AZ kit is the only Mk IV available in 1/72 scale. You have taken great care and completed a very pristine and perfect model out of a short-run kit that has some issues. There is a minor mould damage on the fuselage of these Hurricane Kits that is actually in need of correction namely the two fine lines on the fabric part that are more prominent than the others but this is a mistake that is inherent to this short-run kit. If someone is not so familiar with the Hurricane it can easily be overlooked. See this link for further details: http://www.hyperscale.com/2012/reviews/kits/azl7212reviewmd_1.htm Unfortunately, you also used the wrong type of wing roundels on the upper wing of this plane since this late war Hurricane had Type C roundels: https://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/205211812 Edited December 30, 2020 by 112 Squadron

As can be seen here in my ref. photo Cheers Jes

As can be seen here in my ref. photo Cheers Jes The roundels on these Hurricanes are Type C which is also visible on the two aircraft in the background. A Type C roundel has a large red dot in its center just like the Type C.1 roundel on the fuselage. If you enlarge this picture you will see it. You have used Type A roundels which were used in an earlier period of the war with the small red dot. By the way, Troy was also referring to Type C roundels in his post in the GB. The many different types of RAF markings can sometimes be confusing: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Air_Force_roundels This is of course by no means meant as criticism or nitpicking. I just wanted to clarify what I said in my post above. You display a perfectly build Hurricane here and you can be proud of the results of your work. 👍 Edited December 31, 2020 by 112 Squadron

So I looked in my decal stash and found the correct type. Also found very good page gives an easy overview of the development of the roundels. http://woodair.net/Aviation/roundels/RAF_Roundels.htm.
