I was amazed to see how many of the types had retired in the last ten years.... Little did I know that I would fly in this beauty from this very airfield ten years later! Thanks for looking. exdraken Posted January 3, 2021 Share Posted January 3, 2021 Great photos of many already long time retired props as well Love the full markings Typhoon with the Spit in trail And I think the Tornado / Harrier should not have been retired due to leaving a huge capability gap.... In the case of the Harrier it is slowely filled in part by the F-35 ... but the Tornados recce capability is not covered by Typhoon... which in turn is foremost a fighter, and range/ stores/pylon wise not a fighterbomber , needing to replacing its small tanks with the heavy weapons... rant off!
