Gary Medland 65
The Blenheim's were based at our local airfield during the war. When the restored one was finished it came for a visit. Looked and sounded beautiful! Kit looks awesomely detailed.
Ken the panda 104
think i will follow along with this one. finished the beaufighter a few weeks ago, my first proper model, but not in the night fighter scheme. i'd never heard of montex so had a peek at their website, need to having some of them! my masking skills are sadly lacking. was intrigued with the finnish blenhiem colour scheme for the airfix on the montex site, is this the same model you are building. different colour scheme obviously. thanks ken
F-104 nut 432
More parts painted on the Beau tonihgt, I used AK real color aluminum on the cylinder heads. The used the shaow hobbiw thinnerline circle cutter to cut mack to spray the Mr color medium sea grey for part of the engine crank cover . Brian
F-104 nut 432
Start messing with the landing and wing on the left side. Blose away by the aount of detail that Airfix provides. Fit of the strut is really nice. Next i will pray some primer and paint before i install the strut and close the wings Brian
RadMax8 292
Nice start to both these kits! How do you like the AK paints? I went pretty much all-in on Mission Models, and while I have liked them, they do leave a bit to be desired. Also, that circle cutter is a marvel, isn’t it? I bought one and waited a few months for its arrival, and it was worth it! Thanks for sharing.
Col Walter E Kurtz 706
This was my first Tamiya kit i did. Its a lovely kit and really got me back in to the modelling groove! i did the Mk X in Coastal Command colours. The circle cutter does look like a great tool too. Looking good so far!
Col Walter E Kurtz 706
On mine , for the instrument panel i used a cocktail stick and some tiny drops of Vallejo grey primer dropped in to the instruments to represent the instrument faces Also the copper on the cowlings and the hedgehog exhausts i toned down using 4B pencil ground down and rubbed on.. the Humbrol enamel Bronze was too shiny - this was a tip i got from here! Never used masks.. just Maskol and then clean up the edges with a cocktail stick ( i am single-handedly sustaining the cocktail stick industry it seems lol ! ) Edited January 4 by Col Walter E Kurtz

I find that drillinga hole gear and using a plastic rod to relace the axle . That way i can paint tht struts and install the wheels last Brian
