newvall Posted December 20, 2020 Share Posted December 20, 2020 Hi all, here is my latest complete model, it's full of inaccuracy and interpretation, blue is too dark, anyway at the end it look like a S5 It 's probably the hardest model I manage to fisnished. I’ve been wanting to model the Spitfire’s grandparents and I have a Rare Planes vacform Supermarine type 224 in the stash. He has the S6B there. Easiest way to tell at a glance the S5 and S6 are the engine cowlings. The S5 use the Napier engine with 3 banks of cylinders, the S6 has Rolls Royce engines with two banks.
