Longbow
Andy, Tunisia is actually a very verdant country. I posted a pic a while back of some Pz III’s totally caked in mud, outside a building.

Yes you're probably right Lee but that's the look im after and my Tiger happened to be stationed in a very dry part of Tunisia....hence the weathering

Longbow
Tomorrows job will be had for this dude, prime everything, and start on the secondary figures. This guy is from Dragon’s Achtung Jabo Panzer Crew set. The molding is very nice, on the reed green uniforms, and the positions of each figure.

Unfortunately most of my "go to" ones are in the book I mentioned much earlier in the thread. Not sure about the ethics of photographing pics from books and posting.

Foxbat
I'm looking for tips and suggestions: for my last Tiger build I got a set of etched engine grilles from Hauler. So far, they are my entire experience with PE. They're like hen's teeth to get hold of now what with Covid, Christmas and everything else that's playing havoc with real life. Does anyone know of a UK source, for the grills, any make will be fine. Failing that can anyone recommend a generic 1/48 Tiger set that doesn't cost the earth and doesn't have a million tiny pieces I'll never use. The Eduard set for example is readily available but fails on both counts for me. Yes, I know the obvious alternative would be to build 1/35 but first I've got a stash full of 1/48 armour now and I like it and second, I want this early Tiger to sit alongside the late war one I did in the STGB. Andy No idea about 1/48 etch sets but what about a generic etch mesh that you can cut down to fit, failing that a cheap sieve or tea stainer you can cut down?
