So the Tiger l is built and ready for paint. Kit went together no problem and although fairly basic I think I can liven things up a little once some colour is added. I have to admit I'm not really feeling to excited about this build at the moment but as I say hopefully that will change with some paint applied. Here's a few pic's of today's progress

Not sure exactly when I'll start the painting as I'm at work now for a couple of days but hopefully i can sneak a couple of hours in here and there 🙂👍

Looks like a nice set up, Andy !!

It does the job Lee but a little chilly in the winter. However the new room will have underfloor heating plus a plethora of other goodies, nice and toasty methinks 🙂👍

Steve opens the thread, and then....

Gone like a Virgin on Prom night !! ;)

Well Darryl's probably cursing his way round Tescos and Steve is servicing Ursula though I'm sure they'll both be contributing to the thread soon 😉

I’m also reading Tigers in the Mud, right now

From what I've read Tigers seemed to spend a lot of time in the mud until they could hitch up some more Tigers or 3 Famos to drag them out.

Very true.
SPzAbt 502 nicknamed 212 “Hero of the Soviet Union.”

212 spent more time stuck in odd predicaments than actually fighting.

We seem to have a few 212s on this thread who spend more time stuck in odd predicaments than actually building 🙄

Nice work Lee looks great 👍 👏. My Tiger build has stalled for the time being as I wait for photo etch grilles for the rear deck, just wouldn't look right without them imo 🙂👍

All good here Steve glad you're ok mate......though I did get a ticking off regarding my kit purchases but when I told Mrs J that "Steve told me to " she calmed down a little....until another one arrived this morning along with another Vallejo paint stand.....oops 😬 🤭

Hang on bud....sure someone claimed to rule his own roost and could buy and do  whatever he wanted....

How's the black eye? 😉😂🤣

Nice tidy bench mate, can only dream of such standards!

Of course he's ok, the virus took one look at him and scarpered....even covid has standards!

Okay... I’m going to say it...

Apart from a few niggling little problems, I recommend this kit.

Looks good Lee, knocked that one into submission sharpish!

Nice touches like the fenders and exhaust shrouds.

That's just cruel....wing nuts have feelings too!

Close enough......being honest it wasn't as bad as I'd anticipated, however I didn't have high hopes in the first place!

Thought it was worth breaking my Monday night rule and cracked open a beer once home, takes the edge off....honest!

Someone will be on a charge for that.... orders stated it was verboten to use a tiger to tow another, too much strain on the overstressed running gear.

However we all know now and they all knew then, best to salvage a Tiger when possible rather than destroy it unnecessarily.

Never enough heavy duty half tracks available or Bergepanzers.

Looking good, particularly for such a quick build.

It's an ideal candidate for adding photoetch and other detailing touches....good sound build just needs a bit of personalisation.

Great work !👍
