I transport the dead from their place of demise.

Prior to COVID, we were doing 2-4 funerals a week.
We saw the rise in numbers pretty quickly.

November, December, and January, 3-4 funerals a Day !!

Back when it first hit us hard, about May/June 2020, I had to transport one from LaGrange, GA, to Charleston, SC, and my speedometer never dropped below 90mph.

Cops just waved as I went by.

Jeez ...and i thought i had some stressful jobs...i thought you must be boots on the ground so to speak from the way you spoke about it....you must be a pretty fantastic guy to do the job you do and still have a great sense of humour...i doff my hat to you sir.

Dragged this little cat from the shelf of doom. Started for the beginning of this thread then got side tracked with Panzer III, Bf 109, summer and life in general!

Just need to try and figure out where I'd got to with it, have a few notes and boxes of bits....

And its lost a headlamp!

(If interested it's the RFM Tiger, being built as "Janny")

This is where we are up to...

This was my first attempt at RFM indi link workable tracks.....best thing I can say, they aren't as good as the second set I did for the Pzr III, pain in the wotsit trying to manipulate around the wheels

Anyway I've a couple of weeks to try to get this finished so 🤞

Cheers

Thanks, Its one of those that's been sat around and.....I've kinda lost the thread with it and can already see what I'd do differently with it.

However I need something to tease Steve @M3talpig out of retirement! We just need to make modeller out of him now....

Not to mention the other reprobates in hiding....

I seriously have had time for NOTHING !! :D

The grass had gone uncut for 7 weeks. The Mustangs battery died 4 weeks ago, and I've been driving Christine's Toyota while she drives the truck.

Just no time for anything. The bench has to have the dust removed, and I'm sure the paint has died in the bottles.

On a serious note.....

I hope y'all are staying safe.

We have had a few cases of the Mu variant, which is acting more like Hemorrhagic Fever that a SARS-Corona type.

Back Soon, Hopefully ;)

Isn't that always the way, the fun car dies yet the trusty Jap-mobile keeps on going....

I've an ancient Mitsubishi Warrier, just keeps on going!

On a serious note....never heard of the Mu variant!

No I ain't googling it, never ever Google medical stuff!:yikes:

Hope you and the family are staying safe and keeping well.

Looking forward to seeing you back in action, should I mention Hellcat,  Spit, etc etc...

Sorry mate,
Not my intention to push for a favor.

Wanted to say that this was the last message in this thread I did read until now.
My old man passed away that day.
After a year of covid crap that just broke this camels' back.

Back now.

Panta  rei.

Hello Longbow,
Sorry - bringing you back to before X-Mas 2020 now :xmasparty:

Are the white stripes the bolt heads ore the square nuts welded to the sides of the armor?

Stay sane and be careful out there!

Hi, Zack....

The white are just plastic card strips, used as fillers, as the back of the plates have indents which coincide with the square lugs model to the hull plates.

The problem is though, that the Zimmerit covers the square lugs, which make the plates stand off from the lugs.

I just added some card to fill to the recessed holes.....

Hope that makes sense :D

When it’s rained all day, and the GA Clay is as slick and sticky as Molasses….

The Amazon van better not stray off the path 🤣

His only hope is to call a wrecker truck.

His… Only… Hope.

He’s been there an hour, and dispatch hasn’t called him back, yet.

Dear All,
So here is were I left off back in February:

2v2a6uQA5x6eHcV.jpg

I am using the Dragon 6660 as the basis and adding bits and blobs from the Academy "With Interior" #1387.

The idea is to show the machine with open engine, loaders and commanders hatches. Stuff that might be seen through the open hatches is being added from the Academy donor.

The Academy engine is very basic and any reference photos looking down the engine hatch would be very much appreciated!
( Drinks on me next time in Gothenburg :drink:)

So - that's all for now. I am going to enjoy the Friul tracks and Roadwheel painting this weekend.
Goot the Quick Wheel set - no excuses 😎

Remember
- Your Road Wheels love you!!!
- maybe not so much in the picture above...

Stay safe - stay sane and happy modelling!

Zack
