waiting for pricing, if it's like F-5 :((

I hear ya, but I want a 1/72 S-61 so bad they already have my money if it is at least better than Mach 2 quality.  There are a few kits I just have to have.  Yes, I am weak, weak old man.  I admit it.  😄

LimaNovember Decals has markings for S-61Ns - so this is welcome, saving the hassle of merging Whirlybirds conversion kit with Revell/Airfix SeaKings.

Dreammodel should be able to make several versions of the S-61, they flew all over the world supporting the oil industry before the S-92 came along.

Some of the Norwegian ones wore temporary green camouflage and RNoAF markings during mobilisation exercises.

I have two of their SA.365 Dauphin kits............You have nothing to fear..........high quality plastic, injection moulded kits so S-61 fans can finally rejoice !

The Dreammodel Dauphin looks to be of good quality but the shape of the fuselage under the cabin looks to be too curved. The Matchbox SA365 has a better overall shape. I hope their S-61N is more accurate because it would be amazing to be able to build an accurate injection-moulded S-61!

I'm just really glad this is coming, my Grandad worked for BEA/BA helicopters and I was brought up around these magnificent S61N helicopters, the sound, and smell will never be forgotten!  In fact I have them to thank for getting me in to aviation in the first place.

I don't really fancy trying the Sea King conversion route, but must thank @Jamie @ Sovereign Hobbies and @perdu for paving the way for this release!

This ain't just an S-61 (S-61 being the Sikorsky type designation of the military H-3), it's a S-61N!

This IS a first for a helicopter type that has seen  almost exclusively civilian use.

I have an old Scale Modelling Magazine with dozens of colorful (if in colors) liveries for it, Hummingbirds Helicopters comes to mind.

I'm hoping they will do the unique NM, G-BCEB, but that is a tall ask, one for a bit of home conversion.

@WhirlybirdModels, apologies I hadn't realised that you did a full S61 kit, however my modelling skills and domestic set-up really rules out resin kits.

Be nice to have this kit in the, collection. I have a Maxdecal sheet that has bristows Irish coast guard and IAC markings

Any chance of some more info on this max sheet? I'd be interested in learning more?  When I was working at DUB the  The CHC S-61 Coastguard helicopters  often used Hangar 3 at Dub overnight, my crew and I used to nosey about chatting to the techs helped passed the time.

If only Whirlybird Models had a real homepage, with news, products pictures it would be easier...

Try to find in box reviews or clear pictures from Whirlybird kits sprues or parts on Internet. Where?

I have ordered direct from Whirlybirds over the years, including their S-61N and the BEA S-51 conversions this year with no problem.

The Whirlybird kit is a full kit, no conversion required.

Just what I thought and I have two of these and excellent kits.

What's the matter with these guys that think this Dreammodels kit is a first???   Thought you were modellers?

We Modellers are a very broad church but perhaps you could enlighten us as to what you define as " thought you were modellers", ? 😉

I for one am glad we now it seems  have an injection molded S-61 coming along & the choice to buy Whirlybirds excellent  resin kit too.

We modellers are being spoiled  lately with new molds & this one has been on a lot of wish lists including mine so Happy days
