Easyjet are storing a number of their Airbuses at London Southend Airport: it looks like the local teenagers have been programming the aircraft's transponders whilst they have been running their anti deterioration maintenance checks recently

Having Easyjet closing their base their may have allowed some freedom of expression can't blame them I suppose

Very sad - they regularly flew over the house as they departed or approached Southend Airport; a number of the airframes were transferred from Glasgow and Edinburgh on the same day and it was quite a poigniant sight watching a convoy of orange and white airliners coming into land.  Hopefully they'll be able to return to a more normal service next year.

We got them at low level going to and from Southend now it's mainly 737 freighters as they leave or approach across the Thames it seemed a busy enough base & I like Southend flew into it a number of times from Dub on Atr-42/72s of Stobart Flybe and DAT & a Ba diversion from LCY due to fog.

hopefully they may return to it eventually
