John R
The 525 first flew in a bare metal scheme. It was later fitted with a fin of increased size. It was also later painted cream. Does anybody know which came first? The model I am building has the original small size fin but I didn't fancy trying to replicate the bare metal scheme as it is a patchwork of different shades so I thought that I would settle for cream until I found that at some stage in its development the fin size was increased. It's only a small thing but my curiosity has been aroused John
Michou
The Supermarine 525 had the fin with the broader chord when it appeared in a cream finish at the 1954 SBAC show at Farnborough.
