gengriz
OK, so lets try NOT to have another year like 2020. Modelling this year has been a comfort, a welcome distraction and the related research has been an excellent focus. Roll on 2021. I started the year by continuing my Skyhawk binge from 2019. Both of these are Italeri kits: Then that Zvezda Helix that was sitting on the shelf beside the computer at eye-level finally got its chance to shine: I'd always wanted a Fleet Air Arm R-4 Hoverfly in the collection, and the difficult to build MPM kit met the bill: An Airfix GR.1 Tornado from a charity shop became a GR.4 after a few tweaks and some new decals: A Hobby Boss Sea Hawk joined my fleet: An old FROG/NOVO Gannet became a Fleet Air Arm COD aircraft with some Modeldecal markings: An Airfix Firefly 5 became a Firefly FR.4 of the Fleet Air Arm with an Airwaves wing fold: Whilst a FROG/NOVO Firefly 1 became a post war Fleet Air Arm trainer: Then a diversion to build an Italeri Kfir C.1 / F-21A Lion: And to match the Lion, an Airfix F-5E Tiger: And then I went off on an extended Phantom bender. First with an FGR.2 of 228 OCU, based on the Fujimi kit with Modeldecal markings: Then an F-4J(UK) based on the Italeri F-4S, with modifications and Kits-World markings: My 767 Sqn Fujimi Phantom F-4K received a quick refurbishment: Quickly to be joined by an 892 Sqn Fujimi FG.1 The Phantoms got me thinking of Buccaneers. Enter a FROG kit, with Xtradecal markings: And another FROG kit, built from the box: A FROG Fleet Air Arm Avenger celebrated VJ Day: Whilst a Fleet Air Arm FROG Maryland chased the Bismark: A couple of AFVs distracted me, first a Trumpeter LAV-25: Then a 4D Puzzle Models Cougar MRAV: And a MAN Kat1 6x6 Truck: Then my favourite build of the year, a Maintrack ProjectX Hawker P.1121 "Hurricane": Then to finish the year, a nostalgia build of an Airfix Douglas Dauntless from the Battle of Midway: And a quick refurbishment of an ancient and very tatty FROG/NOVO Skua, using a set of spare Special Hobby decals: Thats all ffffolks........

FalkeEins
..didn't realise people still built Frog kits or are they all still available in different boxes ?! Firefly and the Gannet are my faves, but they all look great!

stevehnz
Fantastic line up, no big favourites, I like them all. I'm jealous of the R4 & would really like a Frog Gannet sometime after seeing this one & the one that @AdrianMF did earlier in the year. Steve. AdrianMF
Smashing selection of builds and it’s nice to see another FROG Buccaneer or two! I really enjoyed building one this year. The Dauntless scheme looks great with the weathering. I like the TSS scheme so your Firefly 4 hits the spot for me too, more interesting than EDSG over Sky.
