Boeing 767-200 Air Mauritius, Doyusha 1/100

Recommended Posts

This model was on my wishlist for a long time.

I have all 1/100 airliners from the Doyusha/Nitto range but the 767 was long missing.

By luck I found one in a 2. hand shop for a fair price.

When I received it.I started the build immediately.

Doyusha created a really nice 767 model.

It has accurate shape and the level of detail is ok too.

But as a model of this size,I thought I should add a little more,so I invested some work in detailing the landing gear.

The engines are also a tad too simple. The back of the engine cowlings is cast together with the exhaust and is solid plastic.

I carefully removed that plasticwall and sanded the back a little thinner.

The decals come from V1 decals Canada and are great to use.

The windows are 3D windows from Authentic Airliners. It just makes more sens and adds to realism in this scale.

For the wing leading edges I used Bare Metal Foil to enhance the shine.

The Air Mauritius 767 was a frequent visitor at Zurich Airport for many years,so its a nice reminder of that time.

Cheers

OK Alex, you're obviously blitzing the server with your builds. It's like a DOS attack. I had a look at them all and this is my favourite.

But I like all of them. Keep them coming.

I haven't had a need to check into Airliners.net for two days now!  🤣
