Piper Pa-25 Pawnee "DUSTY" - Kovozávody Prostějov - 1:72

Recommended Posts

Today I want to present a Piper Pa-25 Pawnee miniature. The base was Kovozávody Prostějov kit in 1:72 scale. One of the decal set is for SP-ZSG but in a different livery. Also some scratch was needed to liken kit to "DUSTY". In the end I have a tug for my gliders :)

Nice result and very rare (?- at least here) subject. I've googled for real thing and found a lot of photos of this particular machine.

I like that, we had a Pawnee glider tow operating from the local airport when I was younger, a friend of my father's flew it. I was somewhat envious of him, it looked like fun. :)

Very neat Pawnee!

In fact, I didn't know that there was an apparently good kit of it. I've promised the wife not to buy any more kits in a while, but, y'know…

Nice work!

Kind regards,

Joachim

Yes, it's not a S-F model :)

Does KP still make the kit?

Need to look if this kit is still available.

Yes. In 2019 they released "Piper Pa-25 Pawnee over Australia" - this same kit with changed decals.

I did buy this kit some time ago, did you post a WiP?

It would be interesting to see a build of it.

Sorry, Moa :( I've only one photo where some scratch & cuttings are visible (btw: shape of tail is filled; in kit tail has rounded shape).
