Popular Post claudius
Operation Pedestal. Mediterranean Sea, August 1942. Sea Hurricane Mk IB HMS Victorious vs Savoia Marchetti S.79 278th Squadriglia. 1/48 scale, Sea Hurricane is Italeri's built out of the box while S.79 is Trumpeter's with lots of corrections and surgeries to correct everything. Richard502
now that is impressive! Congratulations to two excellent jobs!
Graham Boak
Very good. One minor point which can be corrected easily, the fin of the Sea Hurricane should be yellow as part of the markings applied for Operation Pedestal. The outer wing yellow may have been a bit wider but Victorious came out from the UK so her aircraft were still carrying Fighter Command trim. As was 881 Sq Sea Hurricanes on Indomitable from November 1941!
Mike
Lovely camo on the S.79. On Britmodeller, we have Work in Progress and Ready for Inspection forums, so I've moved the thread into WIP for you

Zigomar
Ottimo lavoro! You were courageous enough to do the job on the Trumpy kit, I still use the Classic Airframe. Baci.

Graham T
Two superb looking models there!! I always feel that trimotors were a bit anachronistic even at that time but the SM79 bucks the trend for me! Possibly the best torpedo bomber of the war!

Rabbit Leader
Both a truly beautiful, however I feel the SM.79 deserves a RFI thread all to itself... that’s just gorgeous! Cheers and very well done.. Dave

OutcastJoel
@claudius the paintwork and finishing on these is superb. The S79 has such a beautiful sun bleached look! Did you spray the exhaust stains on the Hurricane or use some other method?
Pauly Boy
Great looking aircraft!! Wish my skills were equal to yours. Love companion builds, especially when it's something different! Doing a Japanese Zero and a Dutch Martin B10 myself as a winter project. Paul
