Orso
I finished a light conversion of the 1/72 scale Airfix Spitfire Mk.Ia. I am also doing a Defiant in the same scheme to accompany it. I used some bombs from the Bristol Bulldog to pose for smoke bombs. I just shortened them a little.
IanC
Nicely done. I didn't realise they had a black ID stripe on the undersides.
Orso
To be honest I'm not sure if they did, but I read sometime that ASR planes were suppose to have it.

stevehnz
That looks great, something I've had in mind to do for ages & yes, the black stripe is absolutely correct. Steve.
Beard
That's smart. Nice to see an alternative to the usual Spitfire I/ II camouflage and markings.

I'm sure I have seen ASR Spitfires with that stripe before. It looks terrific btw. Can anyone tell me what the 'c' stood for in the ASR IIc? Obviously nothing to do with the wing. 112 Squadron
Wow, this Spitfire looks really awesome. I wasn´t aware that Spitfires were employed in the ASR role as well.

Natter
Yep, a definite like from me. That upper camouflage is very subtle, and all the better for it.
