Matteo Scaledcars
Hello everyone, I have a large bottle of tamiya x-20a. I am going to paint a 1/24 car in a lacquer paint. Do I need lacquer thinner or will the x-20a work? Also, what sort of ratio would you suggest?
Corsairfoxfouruncle
Lacquer thinner if using the new Lacquer paints. 50/50 mix with medium high pressure (18-22 psi) https://www.plasticmodels.co.nz/products/modelling-supplies/paint/paint-bottles/tamiya-lacquer-paint-10ml-bottle/ Either if using the standard acrylic lacquer. 2/1 mix or 1/1 mix (10-15 psi) https://www.amazon.com/Tamiya-Acrylic-X27-Gloss-Clear/dp/B00TT856HG/ref=asc_df_B00TT856HG/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=241979196652&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10091790300232940425&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9021610&hvtargid=pla-493082698551&psc=1 Edited December 8, 2020 by Corsairfoxfouruncle
