Ah, that is good to know, thank you :thumbsup2: I figured Formula 560 was too thin to do the job, but now I'm gonna give it a try.

Brilliant work my dear colleague !!

Very impressive scratchbuilding....

And then an AA Ford Escort complete with tools ??

Just saying because, I have such a project to restart...

As soon as I finish the Chevy....

Huh promise done, I'll restart it in 2022....

Congratulations again...

But you sparked some sorrow because years ago, I swaped the Heller Parisian bus....

Sincerely.

I put a small puddle of 560 in a paint mixer pallets and allow a couple of minutes for it to dry then just a tiny spot on the end of the stick into place.

Doesn't take long to 'get it'

Alain, no, I repeat no, Ford Escort van in my plans.

None, not at all.

So when is it due, then?

Thanks for the Formula 560 tip, Bill - I will try it right away on my P-51D build! (No, not adding bolts to it, it's ... well, you'll see )

Oh Giorgio there is no chance, I have not even begun making the Lindbergh Kit of the Mk2 Sprite look anything like the real Midget they were made from.

Ford Escort van is I fear just a CC pipedream  :)

See, a AA Ford escort beside a Touring Secours Renault 4 CV....

It will look great....

No no!! No questions about a ITA Sig here....:rofl2:

Sincerely.

Lovely warm and wonderful catch up Bill. The bus is looking great and the term  “K-Space” is now part of my ever expanding vocabulary. 😂 I almost thought about riveting the Hind with the stick glue method. Then thought again. 🤔. Johnny.

ps. How’s that pub thing? I’m waiting for my second jab until I venture pubward. 😇

Johnny the pub thing is a warm, if a tad 'interesting' comfortable experience.

Interesting in that people are liable to get too close as they pass the table but for instance our 'gaffer' installed a decent sized roll down viewing screen and coupled it with his YouTube account so we could have music whilst we 'pub' and last night we enjoyed Live Aid again with added beers.

The 'pub thing' gets my vote, I always hand scrub going in and out so I minimise potential risks.

That second jab was a milestone for me too, so relieved to have it.

You keep yourselves safe buddy, then enjoy the pub.

I'll never rivet an entire airframe but the pva button method is certainly good for isolated emphasis.

You taught me a ton about rivetting with the Hind, blimey what a task that was.

Nice riveting stuff Bill, clever stuff :)

I'm leaning towards a pub visit soonish - I bet a couple of pints will make me woozy - bloomin' lockdown lightweight I reckon I'll be :D

I too re-encountered the pub last night, and mist excellent it was.  It hasn’t helped me to track down my missing P-38F open canopy (carefully masked and then put “somewhere safe”), so I guess I’m drinking the wrong beer.  [No panic; it’ll show up - and if it doesn’t she’ll have to have a closed lid]

The buss is a thing of beauty, Young William

Like @CedB, we are hoping to do a pub visit soon. I've been second jabbed for a good few weeks now and Karen got hers last week, so we feel up for inspecting the inside of our local soon. Yesterday we had an outdoor mini family reunion in Winchester on a pleasant cafe terrace. It was fantastic having some of our grandchildren at close quarters after so long without them. There are others to see soon too. Sadly one of my sons lives in Canada, and Karen's son lives in Strasbourg, so they are a way off yet.........

The bus continues to delight us Bill. Looking forward to the day I might get a glimpse of it in the flesh!

Reunions anywhere, let alone in Winchester (I like Winchester) are stillsome way off for Gwyn but I dont think it will be too long now...

I hope.

Anyway, mind yer ears.

Calling all Brummies, and anyone with bus colour charts to hand, how does this look for hue?

Whilst I await info on the fore axle underpinnings (actually attempting interpretation of the drawings which dont quite apply themselves underneath there) I have been preparing for the interior painting and attempting the BCT Blue colour mix.

Very dark and dusty like the real thing I suspect.

This is a colour test only as the bodywork will be stripped before 'real BCT blue' is applied.

You know, I was going to ask about that, Bill; the only other place I've been in the UK besides London is Birmingham,  albeit only for a fly-in and then headed to Banbury, but I think it still counts.... :D :D

Note to self. Must remember to swing by this way more often; otherwise I’m missing out on extreme craftsmanship in action!

Missing?

Aha a definition of a Fugitive Fritag if I remember right guv...

Steve old mate it isnt craftsmanship, just dogged determination not to vanish from sight so something has to happen, occasionally.

In  the light of something, anything happening this is in process at the moment.

Garden seat buses need garden seats

Seven of  the impossibly spindly things too, so.

P1010158.jpg

Seven sides of two different types, three sides opposite handed to the other four.

The bars across the bottom screw to the aisle end of each bench , under the floor.

Leads me to ponder whether there were many upended passengers as the bus was moving, people were assembling to get down the aisle to the stairs.

The floor braces were right under the seat ends...

Any road up, I hate it when this happens.

Enough 015"x040" turns out not to have been enough Evergreen, hope Paul has some in stock...

The components so far:

Seat slats for another five buses to come.

F1 Practice one is on and then shopping.

Not sure I dont deserve the Friday treatment meself, had all day to risk the ride to Mike's but never got round to it. My urge to shop went Friday on me. :(

Anyway I did put my seat components together just to see.

Maybe I can foster a Eligoo myself...

wow.  just wow.  Seat looks fantastic Bill, though I can see that you are going to be thoroughly sick of them by the time you finish the 7th.  It's going to be well worth the effort though.

Pah!

Primitive mysticism, pshaw.

OK

OK I'll try it.

Not entirely convinced seven identical benches on full display bodes anything but bad for my karma, but as it's you Tez I'll give it a go...
