"Five Ways? Room on top!" A Brummagem horse drawn buzz in 1/32nd scale

Reached a sad place in the build.

Now I really do have to build another six 'garden' seats because painting and roofing are on the horizon...

The roof tread strips are going on, the seats will sit alongside them.

Probably...

Are them plans in the top left of the pictures helping much with this build then Bill?

Must confess publicly to being considerably-mightily impressed :D

Beginnings

Of the foot pedal operated brake mechanism, talk about complicated.

No hydraulics here it is all pivots and pedals and levers.

The brackets mounted here for the actual brake block actuators

Lots of fun anticipated now.

Here is the foot pedal end ab initio, the hinge bracket straps in place and the first of the pedal rod's hinges begun.

Part two begins tomorrow, I believe it is beer o'clock!

Pedal power #1

#2

P1010288-2.jpg

Seen here awaiting its outer frame mounting point, since added.

The pivots in construction, little off cuts of @John Aerotube set pieces glued to Evergreen struts or rods as required.

Making them up here

Drilled holes in plasticard get little 'cast' bosses added.

Ah well it's a lovely day, time to enjoy it.

'voir.

Now then Johnny, I dont want you thinking the lid is actually on yet mate, but I think it will be getting fixed on just after base coat application.

Soon baby, soon.

The linkages for the brakes have been, er, interesting but in the main they are in hand and mostly on the bus body now so let's have a bit of a butcher's at the status quo.

P1010295-2.jpg

The actual wheel brake blocks are yet to be added but Misty the dappled grey offered to stand in for now, just to add visual enhancements for your discerning eyes.

P1010294-2.jpg

OK I know she isn't a dappled grey, yet...

P1010293-2.jpg

Misty is the most recent addition to my stable and was originally on the 'bay with the rest of the Roundheaded Cavalier kit as a part painted model.

She was rather nicely painted too but her legs and feet needed repositioning to suit her new career, so the nice paint has to go along with moving type feet and (ankles?) bits...

Much horse-meat butchery will ensue in future days, I will give fair warning so tickle-tummied modellers will be able to avert gentle eyes.

Probably...

Also this after noon I have been working on graphics for Hudson's soap ads and made a nice Nestle's Milk Ad for the stair ends.

It's not all hard graft.  :)

As Alan suggests, a true work of art evolving here Bill. The Bus (Carriage?) Is a technical wonder of scratch building and yet the horse looks to be an artistic creation. I recall you did one or two similar, a while back,? A master of the arts and crafts dare i say?

Astounding that is Bill.  Even at this early stage it's easy to see what a work of art this is going to be

Says all that needs to be said here Bill. Wonderful to behold.
