Well this is a rum do isn't it?

All that fuss getting upstairs and well would you believe it?

Absolutely nowhere to sit.

Unless you sit where the driver will be, suppose  that would save you having to pay your penny fare.

Each of the stair structures will carry a step which will be deep enough to use when climbing, tread grip strips too.

Now for assembly at last.

Anybody seen Neddy, Dobbin or Merrilegs?

I think you just used them on the stairs!

Lovely stairs they are too!

Totally nailed that baroque swirl of staircase Bill and my goodness in what style! A fabulous example of craft and skill. 👏

Lovely ‘osses.

And…..

“Dow ferget ter keep arrt the oss road”

Blimey it’s hard to “Spake” Black Country with auto correct.

And yes I’m fully aware that Brum isn’t actually the Black country and has a totally different dialect but I guess an Oss is an oss wherever yow am. 😉

looking sharp Bill. 😍

Let’s keep a clear distinction between Brum and the Black Country, not the same thing…. Not at all!  I’m speaking as a son of the latter

Tuh-rah a bit!

The upside of forgetting to keep an eye on the the ‘other’ that is Vehicle modelling (Non-Military) is that every now and then - when the old brain cell oscillates it’s way to producing a useable remembrance - one gets a joyous catch up like this. :D

A wash of stair paint and the first two passengers aboard, only one paying though as kids under five go free.

Admitting to being rather pleased with the stairs, must break out the Ian in the morning for a proper picture sesh.

There will probably be a coat of floor colour on the platform too by then.

Second coat of staircase colour too.

Lovely stairs Bill, but I am a tad confused.

And a little worried!

A little worried?

Is that it?

A little?

OK fear not Mr Armstrong-Jokes, I refer only to the use of my tripod.

Wot I just used because I needed to stop wobbling, etcetera.

I dream that one day in the near future this

Will be more akin to this

Although not entirely after all it is a different series of bus, working Bordesley Green not Edgbaston.

I just felt like a little playtime...

Horses and harnesses will be sorted soon I believe, bus sooner than that.

Thanks for your applause Giorgio, undeserved as it be, now.

Horse three has arrived to enter the stable.

By rights that slender beauty belongs to a cuirassier, to be found talking to a Russian lady who owns the gaff where his troop have been overnighting on the way from Russia. (bandaged head makes it seem likely he's coming from battle)

I bought the set for Merrylegs there but the modelling of the vignette is superb, no way will I not build the set which means bring out the casting latex Bill.

Big H has it if you fancy looking at some superb Ukrainian modelling it is one of Master Box's sets MAS 3207

It might enter the figure modelling section's WIP section soon ish

I am a bit enraptured by the aforesaid cuirassier figure so in an attempt to avoid using it after scraping lots of nice detail off I have been hoss fettling instead.

With a view to my forays into long ago Brum still awake after I complete the horses for the bus I've been having a fair old fettle with my remaining Airfix and posibly Esci horse pieces.

Bridging gaps on the horse with one black leg is by adding .030 thou pieces ready to be bridged tomorrow, then filled and filed.

Might be OK those...
