Roman Schilhart
Dear fellow Britmodellers, here's my 1/72 Kovozávody Prostějov Lavochkin La-5F (KPM0174). This is one of the new boxings from KP with updated moulds (finer surface details), released in 2020. I built from the box except for the pitot tube and the tail fin antenna which I replaced with wire. Markings represent "White 94", an aircraft of 159. GIAP, operating in the Leningrad region, in summer 1944. Painted with Gunze/Mr. Hobby acrylics. Photgraphs by Wolfgang Rabel. Thank you for your interest in this topic, best greetings from Vienna!

Jackson Duvalier
Very nice little Lavochkin, Roman. I'm happy to hear KP upgrades their moulds periodically. The bold inscriptions on the fuselage sides got me curious, so I looked up "Valery Chkalov." He was an accomplished Soviet test pilot and Hero of The Soviet Union, killed in the crash that terminated the first flight of the prototype Polikarpov I-180. The KP Lavochkin is a neat little kit that builds without any major problems. It's of short-run nature, but engineering is excellent! 1 hour ago, Jackson Duvalier said: Very nice little Lavochkin, Roman. I'm happy to hear KP upgrades their moulds periodically. Luis Alfonso
Hi My Dear Friend Roman!!! Congratulations for this new masterpiece!!! Nice job as usual in this one with the nice weathering and well finished job. If find one will look for it as only have the Old but nice Italeri/Zvezda, so think would be nice to have some other variants to make a nice collection one of these days. Thank you very much for sharing!!! Cheers, Luis Alfonso
