billn53
Your Fishbed looks great! And, that’s a mighty fine lineup of NVAF MiGs you have.
Mark V
That looks great! Wish you would have posted it a couple of years ago when I was looking for a scheme for the old Revell 1/48 Fishbed. I would have tried to copy yours. I see in your “In Work” tag there’s a Danish F-100. Really looking forward to seeing that one. I also have a Monogram F-100 that I was considering doing in the ratty Danish finish.

Sky Keg
Wow Reini!!!! What an impressive Fishbed only to be complimented with an equally impressive grouping of other NVAF types. Simply a superb presentation done with a high level of accuracy and realism. Mike

I'm planning to do all main VPAF fighter planes that were operational during the Vietnam war. Still have to build MiG-21F, MIG-21PFM and MiG-21MF. But North Vietnamese forces are currently overwhelming my southern forces, I'll need to balance things out
TheyJammedKenny!
Really nice, Reini! I love the looks of this one, and the family portrait is really special. Small potatoes: were the AA-2s on this one "heaters?" On a future build you might try painting the IR seeker windows brown, with a silver undercoat.

Or more likely, swap them for UB-16 rocket launchers! I just read about the early tactics, it was quite common that of a pair, one would be armed with AA-2's and the other UB-16 rocked pod with S-5 AA rockets. They had bit of a hard time un-learning the MiG-17 dogfight tactics and the rockets worked better in the situations that they often found themselves in. The MiG-21PF did not have a gun, atleast the version used by North Vietnam. Thank you all for comments!
Pete in a shed
Nice job. The roughly applied mottle looks just like photos of the real aircrafts camo. Pete
