Broplan 1/72 ATR 72

Recommended Posts

Quite a job for a mediocre modeller such as myself

Broplan ATR 72 with much scratch building and cobbling;

What a wonderful model you built from the less than optimum Broplan kit.

You have done a really nice job!

Congratulations!

Go Vacs!

Thanks!

I imagine it could have been better (by someone better at vacs) but, for me I’m fairly happy with it

Well i don't know why you think this is mediocre modelling, they both look very beautiful aircraft.

I am sure you will get a lot of other members telling you the same ,excellent work look forward to your next piece of work, well done. 👏

That looks really outstanding built! Especially if it is that ultra thin plastic Broplan is using. It is fine for small singles but from the size of Navajo it is far too flimsy.

I have been thinking to built it either short or long version but I'm not sure if I have enough nerves for that! I would take my hat off it I'd be using one.

Cheers,

AaCee

Thanks very much mates!

I was too late to get the resin “Liberty Quality Kits” ATR models and pre-ordering the “Scratch Aeronautics” kit left me spending my money but getting no kits (I think the term is ripped off) so this was my only route available. A tough go but I really wanted an ATR Kit in 1/72 scale.

Impressive build!  I wonder what would happen if we set you loose on a BPK kit?

Hahaha I am looking at a Hobbycraft Canada DHC-8 100 thinking of making a conversion to a -8 300...I've managed to talk myself out of it previously so here's hoping I can do it again.

Do it! I was planning the same x2. At least you start with an injection moulded kit....
