Determined Terminator

Dear fellow Modellers

 

This project started with the purchase of a partly built and quite rare model of Argonauts, which had been given up by its former owner (and now I know why).
The problem with these vinyl/white metal kits is the stability.
So I thought: how about putting Neca's body, which looks to be cast from the same mold or master, and Argonauts head and hands together plus some scratchwork...

I only partially liked the head, remodeled the teeth with Milliput, the mouth and parts of the cheeks. I should have moved the nose up though. Pistons are from Neca.
The vinyl from Argonauts is absolutely great.
Painted with Molotov Liquid Chrome, which you have to spray wet and quite thick. Impossible to handle, but for now it looks quite nice.

The first Terminator.... still one of the greatest genre films ever made. Produced on a budget of $6.5 Million, which I reckon would have been the catering budget for the sequel. Proof (if you needed it) that Hollywood doesn't have to spend $200 Million on ridiculous CGI special-effects to make a good film.
