You're cracking along with this build, Laurie, sounds like you're having more fun with it than with the Aerovan........

A belated Happy New year,

Looking forward to your next posts.

Rog

Thanks Rog. Yes so far most accurate.

Yes enjoy 2021 be careful.

Be warned - the instrument panels that are printed in the instruction sheet (haven't seen that for a long time - shades of Airfix in the early '60s!) are about 150% the size they should be, i.e. far to big to go on the kit panel. I had a mate print a couple for me at the right size (well, he was doing a couple for his builds anyway), and there's one spare - pm me your address if you'd like it ...

Thanks Admiral yes quickly noticed. I have scanned & dropped down in size on a publication software. Have some very nice photo paper so it should be OK.

Thanks very much for your offer which is very kind & very much in the spirit of model makers. 😊

Good to see you back on it fella. These are big old Girls.  I really enjoyed the Aifrix Superfreighter kit.  I won't be getting one of these, so will just have to contente myself watching yours.

Hope you are okay

Thanks Chris  much appreciated.

Laurie: I'm really looking forward to seeing your approach to this build.  As with your future Viking project, you are wise to prep the surfaces with sandpaper first, as if you were assembling a vacu-form.

Thanks Alex. Hope all else goes well. Pity about rudders & flaps etc.

You could try wrapping a bit of tape round them.........sods of things !!

Rog

Thanks Rog. Member on SMF gave me an idea using Blue Tack. Used C'A on a little scaffold worked perfectly more accurate 10% of the time & all in tack compared to the first one.

Another fascinating offering, Laurie

And up to your usual standards.

Some lovely surface detail...

It's good to see you building a kit that needs little in the way of modifying/fixing/creating.

It has to be a nice break from the Mach 2 kits on the tarmac.

Looking good Laurie,  shame they printed the IP decals too large.

Great work

Chris

Thanks Chris much appreciated. Yes better if they were decals. But as it happened I quite enjoyed making them. Resin is my gripe nothing fits as it should.

Remember Airfix used to print the instrument panel on the instruction sheet?

Keith

Hopefully the right scale Keith. Actually I printed on photopaper giving a better finish than the Fly paper ones. First time I have come across paper decals.

Thanks all for your interest
