You sure it's 1/72nd? As you mentioned back in September about a Ukrainian company doing a 1/48th one.

John Thompson
God bless Clear Prop for their ambition during these trying times, but they're developing a bit of a backlog of badly-wanted (by me, anyway) but as yet unreleased kits - 1/72 late La-5, 1/72 LaGG-3, 1/72 Su-25; when, Lord, oh when??? B.sin
Looks like a nice little kit, another win for ClearProp! Beautiful box art to boot!
MarcB
Strange windscreen... Didn't know any P-36/Hawk 75 were equipped with a flat face front windscreen...it was more rounded with internal bracing I believe.. Any thoughts ? MB
Work In Progress
It matches the only surviving H-75N, which has a flat windscreen.
Shorty84
Good point about the windscreen. The Argentine examples seem to have the more familiar "rounded" variant: http://www.militariarg.com/foreign-aircraft-operated-by-the-argentine-air-force.html https://scontent-vie1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t31.0-8/13923410_10153969057468937_6104424396080930432_o.jpg?_nc_cat=111&ccb=2&_nc_sid=9267fe&_nc_ohc=MIdXXUgSVFwAX-BIvCd&_nc_ht=scontent-vie1-1.xx&oh=3041d8336e4cd0b5a1b93936d88b9fbc&oe=60172FDD Maybe the "flat" variant was specifically for the H-75N? Unfortunately the surviving photos are quite inconclusive for the Thai machines: http://www.wings-aviation.ch/11-RTAF/2-Aircraft/Curtiss-Hawk75/Fighter.htm http://aircraft-in-focus.com/wp-content/gallery/p36-thai/scan-150509-0001-800x.jpg *Edit: Found a picture of an Argentine machine with flat windscreen. Seems both types were present. That means if Clear Prop provides just the "flat" variant you are limited to specific serials: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/f9/35/1e/f9351e648abc7ff3b5354d615d360669.jpg Cheers Markus Edited January 4, 2021 by Shorty84
Work In Progress
Well. we know they are doing a broad range of H-75 sub types so obviously are tooling both windscreens. I have no reason to doubt that the one they are providing in this initial boxing is appropriate for the aircraft depicted by the decal sheet. There are going to be many more boxings so let's wait and see.

Having seen first hand (by examining the two kits, I mean) the lengths to which Clear Prop has gone to distinguish between the early and late La-5 in 1/72, as well as addressing customer issues for the late La-5 after feedback on the early version, I agree that they'll research the daylights out of the H-75 windscreen to get it right. They're definitely keen to provide an excellent product. John

Hasegawa has that covered. And P-40 it's not such a big cash cow as are the Spit, 109 or P-51.

Apart from the F/L which they didn't bother with, a new tool of these would be nice.
Mike Esposito
See from the sprue shots that there are two types of spatter undercarriage. Count me in! 😎
k5054nz
I was hoping for a Thai boxing, Awesome! The museum aircraft in @Work In Progress' post has long been on my to-build wishlist. Then I need the retracting gear versions, although I have while until I know how mine will be painted...
