!!!DEFUNCT!!! Republic/Seversky Aviation Build take two, now @ 30.

Recommended Posts

Hello one and all... So I did a scan back to 2015 and didn't see anything for this subject. So I’m proposing a Group build for all things Republic Aviation. This would include the Original Seversky Aircraft Company and its aircraft. This will be take two for this.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_Aviation

Even if an aircraft is not on this list, if you or anyone can show a Republic/Seversky connection thats reasonable I will allow it. Many famous types and prototypes have born the name of Republic Aircraft. If anyone is interested please let me know ? You can build a P-35 or an 2pa in Japanese markings. That or maybe an Seversky AT-12 Guardsman. Then there are of course the P-43 Lancer and P-47 Thunderbolt. Or maybe you fancy a jet, there are of course the Thunderjets, Thunderstreaks, and Thunderflashes. Then last but definitely not least there is the Thud or Thunderchief. Standard rules would apply of course.
       A list of qualified aircraft.

Seversky SEV-3 Single-engine three-seat amphibian

Id like to discuss wether or not to include Fairchild/Republic (A-10), anyone have thoughts on this matter ?

As the last of the Republic House that saw service, I think it would be fair to do so, IMHO ...

It's more than 40 years since I built a Matchbox P-47 so please add me to the list, Dennis. This time I'd rather build a Tamiya razorback, though. V-P

Hello V-P I’ll be glad to add you to the list.

Well whenever I open my Eduard drawer I'm confronted by a stack of Bubbletops, so I'm certainly in!

Also got a couple of Thuds in the stash too. Would love someone to release the P-43 in scale but sadly Dora Wings seem to have stopped downsizing to 144th 😔

Welcome aboard, does anyone do a Razorback D ? If so it couldn't be to hard to back date that to a P-43 ? It’s very similar shapes just a wee bit smaller in all dimensions.

Well, this didn't take you long to get going again Dennis :thumbsup2:.

Please renew my membership - I'm not sure what with yet, but it will have jet engines for sure.

Cheers
