Sabrejet
First in a line of the world's ugliest cars? Next will be the Pontiac Aztek and SsangYong Rodius. Brave.
roymattblack
That picture does the model no favours if it is a pic of the finished kit. It looks like a cheap push-along plastic toy.
keefr22
Ah good, yet another ugly modern thing that I won't need to buy, glad Tamiya is being so thoughtful in saving me money! K

Paul H
I must admit that I won't be getting one as the subject matter doesn't interest me as I find most modern super / hyper cars to be downright ugly & overstyled (a full detail 1990s McLaren F1 on the otherhand.... I still have my copy of the Autocar roadtest from the time) but based on what is shown in the video below, it does look like this is going to be a rather detailed and impressive model:

Keith I'd agree with you both: that windscreen wiper looks like something you'd complain about in a 1/43 kit. And rotating wheels go along with articulated swing wings and rubber tyres in aircraft kits: OK for kids but no place in a scale model. The image makes the kit look clunky, but being Tamiya it will be easy to build. But it does make me realise how much resin kits are leaving the plastic stuff in their dust. I am desperately trying to avoid buying Alpha Models' McLaren 720S. That kit really does make Tamiya's latest effort look like a toy.

It’s probably better than I manage with car kits! 😎 I'm sure there’ll be builders who will make a fantastic rendition from this kit, though I’m not convinced it’s a good looking car in the first place - granted, it is better looking than a Veyron but that’s a very low bar! cmatthewbacon
That video makes it look like it’s up there with the FXX-K, which is one of the best kits I’ve ever built. Since I actually quite like modern supercars as well as classics, I’m happy to give the Senna a go myself... best, M.

And I look forward to seeing your end result M, always like seeing your builds! What I wish Tamiya would do is release more of their 1/10 RC cars as 1/24 statics - if only they'd downsize their MK2 Escort.... Keith 1

K Indeed I am. Just bought *another* Alpha kit and am thinking about the new Aston Martin kit too. Trouble is, I don't really do road cars. Or I didn't... But yes, I think Alpha really set the bar for 1/24 kits.
Vesa Jussila
First photo don make favor for kit. Honestly I don't need to get this kit, so I save my money. I would love to see Lancia Aurelia B20 GT or cabriolet from Tamiya.

Web99
Hopefully it means we will see more Mclarens from Tamiya like the Senna GTR and P1. 😁
KonaDawg
Hmmm... I do love McLaren but the Senna is a love or hate design... Would have preferred a 720 or 650 LT or yes, a P1! If this means they have the license for more McLarens, that has to be a good thing.

I wish someone would make a model kit of one already. I mean, I wouldn't not buy this Senna kit (for I kinda have my dream spec), but even I would think Senna is not a looker. And I genuinely want Senna. Here's hope the kit will arrive in one piece and not on fire...
