The Special Hobby A-20 Havoc has been around since 2007 in various forms, with parts added along the way to create different versions in various operators' schemes.  What’s common to many but not all is the prominent ditching survival pack behind the cockpit, which is all wrapped in a great big dinghy that auto-inflates at first sign of water, which is the theme of this upgrade set.

 

 

It arrives in the usual Quick & Easy green themed package, with the resin held in a small poly bag with header card folded over and instructions within.  They’re a range of drop-in replacements for kit parts, offering an almost instant upgrade to detail in areas that modellers usually like to concentrate focus.  The pack is attached to a casting block along one edge, and should be easy to remove, then drop it into place after the usual scrub in warm soapy water and some painting.  The creasing of the fabric and the gear in the centre of the pack is better than could be achieved with styrene moulding (bear in mind that the real thing is only 17mm across), so with sympathetic painting it should increase the visual interest in that prominent area, especially in an open cockpit.
