By all means- the Ki-44 is one pugnacious little spud, and there are a ton of bare metal schemes with defense bandages and colorful sentai markings to choose from. The Hasegawa kit is superb, from what I have read...teensy weensy little cockpit opening, even in in 1/48 scale, though! (Wasted a lot of detailing in my Hasegawa 1/72 Tojo cockpit- even with the hood open, you can't see anything but the seat and the gun sight!) 2996 Victor
Absolutely superb piece of model making! And as others have said, the NMF finish is amazingly rendered. I've taken notes, as I've got several of Tamiya's 72nd scale Teis in the stash. Thanks for sharing! Mark
Holzhamer
Beautiful finish! Your Hein captures the look of that machine really well. Top notch work!
Pete in a shed
Lovely job on this one Russ. The simple scheme with the white on the tail is a stunner. Pete

Metal finish is flawless an d very representative of a Tony, and I for one am glad not to see Kobayashi's Hien represented yet again. Your photography is superb, and in b&w would easily pass for a period photo of the real thing. Now, go get a Hasegawa Ki-84 and work the same magic on a bare metal one to go with your Hien! Mike He’s already done a Ki-84. I think.
Jfgred1
Have in the stash a couple of Ki-61 and hope when I get to them I can do at least half as good as you have. Excellent build. Congrats. Please, keep them coming.
