David Womby
Gloster Meteor PR10. Unarmed photo-reconnassance aircraft of 541 Squadron RAF based in Germany 1951-1957. This is the Matchbox nightfighter kit converted using the nose and seat from the Aeroclub PR10 conversion set but the tail and belly tank from a wrecked Frog F4 as I found the fit of the tailplanes superior to the Aeroclub parts. The decals are from FreightDog Models. I forgot to paint the rear decking under the canopy before attaching it!!! The underside serials look silvered but they aren't, just too reflective. Comments and criticisms welcomed. If anybody has Frog Skybase stands to sell, please PM me. David

SAT69
A really nice model. Had you not mentioned the rear decking I don't know that anyone would really have noticed.
Colin @ Freightdog Models
Nice build, I did a similar Matchbox one many years back (but the FR.9 conversion) for an ex Meteor pilot on a stand, all the sanding needed made a nice clean desktop model, if only he knew how much Green Stuff I had to use! Excellent decals to... Colin 1 1

stevehnz
That looks way smart David. I've a MPM kit of this to do sometime, that colour scheme was a big attraction, yours just confirms the wisdom of my choice. Steve.
BritJet
Lovely job on that one and the colour scheme really sets it apart from other Meteors. I did this from the MPM kit a couple of years ago. Steve
